  • 1/4 cup strawberry purée (fresh blended strawberries with a touch of sugar)
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy, oat, or almond)
  • 1 tsp ceremonial-grade matcha powder, sifted
  • 2 tbsp hot water
  • 4–5 ice cubes

Method
 

  1. Blend fresh strawberries with a touch of sugar until smooth to make the purée.
  2. Fill a glass with ice and pour the strawberry purée at the bottom.
  3. Gently pour milk over the purée to form the middle layer.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk the sifted matcha with hot water until frothy using a bamboo whisk or milk frother.
  5. Slowly pour the matcha over the milk to form the top green layer. Serve immediately and stir before drinking.
