Swirled Pineapple Strawberry Slushie

Ingredients

For the Slushie

  • 2 cups Frozen pineapple chunks Creates the tropical flavor and thick texture.
  • 2 cups Frozen strawberries Adds sweetness and a vibrant color.
  • 1 cup Cold water or coconut water Use coconut water for added sweetness.
  • 1 tablespoon Honey or maple syrup Optional sweetener, adjust to taste.
  • 1 tablespoon Squeeze of lime Optional, adds tartness.
  • 1/2 cup Plain yogurt Optional for a creamy texture.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Add frozen pineapple to the blender with a splash of cold water or coconut water. Blend until thick and smooth, then pour into a bowl or measuring cup.
  • Add frozen strawberries with a splash of liquid to the blender. Blend until thick. Taste and add honey or maple syrup if needed.
  • Spoon the pineapple slush into your glass, followed by the strawberry slush, alternating layers.
  • Use a long spoon or butter knife to gently swirl the layers. Be careful not to overdo it, as you want to keep the pretty streaks.

Notes

If making ahead, store each flavor separately in the freezer for up to a couple of hours. To serve, let sit for a few minutes before swirling. Use cold glasses to help layers stay crisp.
