large skillet for making sauce and combining pasta

Ingredients
8ozpenne pasta (or any short pasta)
2cupscooked chicken, shredded or diced
3tbspbutter
4clovesgarlic, minced
1cupheavy cream
½cupgrated parmesan cheese
½tspItalian seasoning
Salt & pepper to taste
2tbspchopped parsley, for garnish
Instructions
Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving ½ cup pasta water.
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in heavy cream, parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer 3–4 minutes until thickened.
Add chicken and pasta, tossing to coat evenly. Add reserved pasta water a splash at a time for desired creaminess.
Garnish with parsley and extra parmesan. Serve warm.
Notes
Store in an airtight container up to 3 days. Reheat gently with a splash of milk or cream. Add vegetables like spinach or peas for extra color and nutrition. Use half-and-half instead of cream for a lighter version.
