Ingredients

  • 4 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/2 sleeves Ritz crackers, crushed
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted (1 stick)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, mix the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly combined.
  • Spread the chicken mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the crushed Ritz crackers with the melted butter until fully coated.
  • Sprinkle the buttered cracker mixture evenly over the chicken layer.
  • Bake uncovered for 25 to 30 minutes, until hot and bubbly with a lightly golden topping.
  • Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Stir in 1–2 cups of cooked vegetables like broccoli or peas for added texture.
