Ingredients

  • 4 cups blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Place sliced butter in a 9x13-inch baking dish and let it melt in the oven.
  • Combine blueberries, sugar, and lemon zest in a small bowl.
  • In another bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk until just combined.
  • Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish.
  • Spoon the blueberry mixture evenly over the batter and sprinkle lightly with cinnamon.
  • Bake for 35–40 minutes, until the top is golden and the edges are bubbling.
  • Let the cobbler rest for 10 minutes before serving warm with ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

You can use frozen blueberries straight from the freezer — no need to thaw.
Add a sprinkle of brown sugar before baking for a caramelized top.
Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
